Communication System

1. Functioning

Voice messages transmitted through any of the terminals are transferred to all terminals of the system. Before speaking, press down the send-button on the terminal (or handset) and release the button afterwards, in order to hear the possible answer.

2. Centre

Cards of the centre are placed in a 19" installation frame.
The centre consists of up to 10 connection cards. To each card up to 6 terminals can be connected, i.e. up to 60 terminals per one centre.
Power supply of the centre: 24V DC.
Usually the centre is placed into a freestanding floor cabinet (H x W x D: 950 mm x 800 mm x 600 mm), which is additionally equipped with 230V AC / 24V DC power source and serial connectors for the connection of terminals.

3. Telephone terminals

3.1 TST Control room terminal 1, TST-2000F/M

Dark grey table terminal with swan neck microphone and internal speaker.
When speaking, hold down the red send-button on the terminal.
Volume of incoming signal can be adjusted with respective button located on top of the terminal.
Red standby-indicator.
Application: Office rooms, control rooms (announcement terminal), etc.

3.2 TST control room terminal 2, TST-2000F/H

Dark grey table terminal with internal microphone, internal speaker, and handset with send-button.
When speaking into the internal microphone, press the red send-button of the terminal. When using the handset, press the send-button of the handset.
Volume of incoming signal can be adjusted with respective button located on top of the terminal.
Red standby-indicator.
The terminal can also mounted on wall, using special wall bracket (SL1000 WB).
Application: Office rooms and corridors, control rooms, etc.

3.3 TST control room terminal 3, TST-2000F

When speaking into the internal microphone, press the red send-button of the terminal.
Volume of incoming signal can be adjusted with respective button located on top of the terminal.
Red standby-indicator.
The terminal can also be mounted on the wall, using special wall bracket (SL1000 WB).
Application: Office rooms and corridors, control rooms, etc.

3.4 TST industrial terminal 1, TST-RR

Grey wall terminal with internal microphone and fixed/wall mounted horn speaker.
When speaking, press down the send-button on the terminal.
The microphone is isolated from the housing in order to suppress housing noise.
Volume of incoming signal can be adjusted with respective button located on the cover of the terminal.
Max. output volume of terminal speaker: approx. 4W/8W (with separate speaker, approx. 20W, AFA-20).
Application: Noisy industrial facilities, etc.

4. Cabling between terminals and centre

The terminals are connected to the centre in a radial manner, using regular telephone wire. If the distance is less than 1 km, 2 wire pairs are required per terminal, and if the distance exceeds 1 km, 3 wire pairs are required per terminal; one pair is required for power supply. ATTENTION! Industrial terminal TST-RR always requires 3 pairs per terminal.

5. Repetition range

250 Hz ... approx. 6000 Hz +3 dB, depending on the length of the cable between the terminal and the centre.
